Once upon a time (1970's) some fun-loving folks sprayed some graffiti on a railroad bridge above a section of the Washington DC Beltway, near Silver Spring, MD. The bridge precedes a view of the local Mormon Temple which simply resembles the castle of the Wizard of OZ. The graffiti had read "Surrender Dorothy" and, while it was removed several times by local authorities, the pranksters re-lettered again and again over a period of about 15 years. Herewith a before and after representation of the "Dorothy" bridge.
